exciting things!

The number ONE most exciting thing happening right now is.....Justin was accepted into the University of Incarnate Word! We are SO super crazy proud of him!! He will continue to work 100 million hours a week AND take 12 hours a semester. Prayers Please.

Specifically pray for God to just multiply his time and energy. We are in continual prayer that God will continue to control our finances...this school is not the cheapest one on the block. I am so thankful to be married to the cutest college student in the WORLD!

Next is...Bryce Joe wants his TWO FRONT TEETH FOR CHRISTMAS! So please let Santa know :) It was time for them to GO! He thinks he looks pretty cool.
It was VERY exciting to finally use the tooth fairy pillow we have been saving in the closet for 5 years!

The big boys had their Christmas show on Thursday! They both did such a great job! Bryce got to stand by his buddy Charlie and was a champ at the hand bells. He recited his lines loud and clear and we were just SO proud! Brody was the star of the show (as usual) with his jingle bells and of course as he rocked baby Jesus to Away in the Manger!!

Now here is just a little bonus...they are totally best friends :)

craft day

My sweet friend has an annual Christmas craft party! It is so crazy and messy and fun...for the mamas and the kiddos! My boys had so much fun crafting and playing and eating yummy snacks (and breaking things :/)! We are so blessed to have such awesome friends. I am appreciative to be able to show up with my crazy train (aka bryce brody braxton) and be loved no matter what. Braxton was eating crumbs off the floor and nobody judged me. Brody threw a small tantrum and he was rewarded with a lollipop...and again nobody judged me. We broke a plate, knocked a shelf off the wall, dumped a cup of water over and got out every toy in the house. BUT...everyone still loves us anyways :) We are so lovin' our wild and crazy season of life right now and are so thankful we have such awesome friends to enjoy it with us!

these baby brothers are best friends!

katie and her cute kiddos
yummy in our tummy
brody decided that crafting was a lot of work...so he took a break with the big kids to watch home alone :)
lots of crazy crafting fun

hey, hoo are you?

NightOwlCrafting

1. Do you like to listen to Christmas music?
YES! actually bryces preschool cd has christmas music on it that we are supposed to start listening to in like august! so we listen to some christmas music year round. i love the stations that start playing full time christmas music after thanksgiving. i love everything about christmas because it reminds me so much of my mommy.
2. Are you one of those people who get all their shopping done early,
or do you do most of it in December?
the big stuff ALL goes down on black friday. i am a die hard black friday gal. i LOVE it. the no sleep thing is totally worth all the excitement! everything else is usually 100% done by the first week of december.
3. Do you set a budget on how much you spend on each person?
not really
4. Do you send out Christmas cards?
yes! i love love love christmas cards!
5. Do you enjoy this holiday season or does it stress you out?
i crazy love it. it sure is more stressful to be the grown up in the situation...but i refuse to let anything suck the fun out of this for me. although...i have to admit i am pretty depressed to say that this is the very first year of my whole entire life that i will not be with one of my parents on christmas day. i am not quite sure how to handle that yet. a panic attack is sure to unfold as the day nears.

lame-o

well i have just been the lamest blogger in town. no post in ages :(

we spent thanksgiving week with family at the river house. it was a last minute plan (and very bittersweet) and it should have been the most wonderful time ever...but instead i was sick. boo hoo. i still had mounds of fun laying around with my family and letting bryce go hunting and spending some good kitchen time with all the wonderful women in my family BUT it sure would have been nice if i felt better.
through the sickness i DID find a way to get out and shop all night :)
i got to walmart and 10pm and didnt cozy back up into bed into 7:30 that morning. i LOVE all my deals and had a blast with some really fun friends. i dont think that standing out in the 32 degree weather for 2 hours waiting to get into target helped me get better any faster...but i had fun and brought lots of kleenex...so it was all good.
braxton had the most fun on thanksgiving. i totally thought brody was going to be the biggest t-day food fan...but that fatty braxty put him to shame. totally ate him under the table. sweet chubby boy makes me so proud. bryce had macaroni and cheese for thanksgiving :/ what a weirdo.
now december has just shown right up ready to rock my world. i am ready december...bring it on! the christmas tree is up and decorated, the lights are on the house and my nutcrackers are on the mantle. all the kids presents are bought and wrapped and under the tree. braxtons birthday party is planned (yuck to him turning ONE) and the christmas crafting has begun!
lots of pics to come!
